Née le 24 Juin 1986, la petite soeur de Beyoncé a grandi à Houston, Texas.

En 2000 sa carrière a commencé grace à l'aide son père et manager, Mathew Knowles.
Elle a ainsi chanté sur l'album de Noel “8 Days of Christmas” de Destiny's Child et ensuite elle a chanté “True Love” avec Lil'Romeo. On peut la trouver également sur le premier album de Kelly Rowland, “Simply Deep”.
Son premier single, “Feelin' You”, a été enregistré en 2002, suivi par l'album “Solo Star”.

Deux ans après elle s'est mariée au joeur de football Daniel Smith et en Octobre 2004, son premier fils, Daniel Julez Smith Jr. est né.
Seulement trois ans après, Solange a annoncé la seperation d'elle et son mari.

Bien qu'on attend toujours la sortie de son deuxième album “Sol-Angel and The Hadley Street Dreams”, qui va sûrement sortir en aout 2008, Solange a travaillé beaucoup ce dernier temps, étant parolier connu (elle a (co-)écrit les chanson “We Break The Dawn” et “Flaws and All” par exemple) et mannequin (pour “House of Deréon”).

In 2001 she started a music career with the help of her father and manager, Mathew Knowles.
She joined her big sister on the Christmas album “8 Days of Christmas” by Destiny's Child and later sang “True Love” with Lil'Romeo. She was featured on Kelly Rowland's first solo album, “Simply Deep”.

Two years later her musical career should be interrupted by her marriage to football player Daniel Smith, and in October 2004 their first son, Daniel Julez Smith Jr. was born.
Only three years after that lucky event, Solange announced that she is divorced.

Although we are still waiting for her sophomore album “Sol-Angel and The Hadley Street Dreams”, which is due to appear in August 2008, Solange has been working a lot lately, being a succesful songwriter (she (co-)wrote songs like “We Break The Dawn” or “Flaws and All”) and model (for her mother's label “House of Deréon”).
